Swing by SiG Brewing Co. and join us for the officail Tacoma Beer Week Prefunk party!

We will be releasing “A Deal with Destiny”, our collaboration beer with SiG Brewing and Brown & Haley brewed with real Almond Roca and we can all do a giant cheers for the upcoming Tacoma Beer Week festivities!

5:00 PM - 10:00 PM: The Ten: Peaks & Pints Kicks Off Beer Week

This year Foster’s Creative is evolving the “ten of us” project into what is simply called, “the ten”. Carrying with it the spirit of the original “ten of us” 2023 community project is a multi-media, people-gathering, wave-making project featuring people, places, and happenings in the 253.

Peaks & Pints kicks off their Tacoma Beer Week festivities with the filming of “The Ten 2024 Toast”. Enjoy the latest, local beer and cider while you check out “the ten”, chat with “the ten” team, and grab a special T-shirt commemorating Peaks & Pints’ 10-year association with Tacoma Beer Week created by “ten of Us’ 2023 artist Curtis Ashby  — all while vibing with a local DJ.

This year’s Brew Five Three returns to Chambers Bay with the stunning backdrop of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. Sip beer and cider from regional brewers and taste food from local restaurants while enjoying live entertainment on the main stage. This is an event for beer nerds and novice drinkers alike. Play, lounge, and hang out with friends as you soak up the sun and savor unique craft beverages in your souvenir limited edition tasting glass.

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Tbw Litter Crawl

In partnership with @TacomaTrashPandas and @Oscarsenemies, community members and beer industry folks will run a two-hour clean up session up and down the 6th Avenue area.

Discounts will be provided by local business along 6th Ave for participants, and there will be raffles for great prizes as well.

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: The Final Table - Proam Judging

Join us for our first official ProAm final judging event! We paired up five home brewers with some of your favorite local pro brewers to collaborate  on five different beers.

They will be tapped, tasted, and judged to crown the “best in show” and “crowd favorite” winners from the first ever Tacoma Beer Week ProAm Competition.

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: 90’S Night With Vice Beer

Come relive the best years of your life at Living Taproom’s 90s Night featuring Vice Beer!

We’ll have special beers from Vice no tap all night themed with your favorite 90s references, and even special collaboration beer they made with Tacoma’s SiG Brewing Co.

TBW’s first annual Heidelberg derby is a family-friendly pinewood derby-style event, but instead of wood, we’re making our cars out of beer cans!

Bring your favorite can, or use a Heidelberg can and fit it with the provided materials to turn it into a super car.  Race in heats until the last can stands and takes home the grand prize!

Tacoma will be saturated with verse thanks to Jackie Casella’s Creative Colloquy.

She’ll gather brilliant South Sound writers to tell short stories, prose, or poetry, and then the floor will open for listeners to do the same — all while enjoying cocktail-themed beers and ciders at Peaks & Pints.

For the past 10 years, writer Jackie Casella has mined Tacoma’s rich literary talents and fostered relationships built upon mutual admiration of the written word. She was part of the “ten of us” last year honored for her Creative Colloquy, as well as years as the Weekly Volcano food critic plus pouring creative cocktails at several local bars through the years.

Beer Star’s Dog Mascot Competition is back!

5:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Pretty Gritty And Narrows Proctorlandia

Pretty Gritty Tours founder Chris Staudinger takes walkers on a historic tour of Tacoma’s beloved Proctor District, which is named after Ontario-born architect John G. Proctor who designed many local historical treasures, including the Pierce County Courthouse (1892), the Nelson Bennet Mansion (1889) and the Wheeler Building (1889).

Staudinger will discuss architect Proctor, the 100-year-old oak tree at Wheelock Public Library, the historic Mason Plaza and its Star of Destiny, The Blue Mouse Theatre, and other historic landmarks in the Proctor neighborhood.

Peaks & Pints will host the Pretty Gritty Tours group before and after the tour with a Narrows Brewing tap takeover — including the return of Narrows’ Proctor Pale, which Staudinger and Peaks & Pints co-owner Ron Swarner helped brew.

A “ten of us” 2023 honoree and Grammy-nominated rapper, Quincy Henry, and his business partner and wife, Whitni, own Campfire Coffee — a wood-fired coffee roaster and shop in Tacoma. Campfire Coffee will pour their coffees during Hop Roast. Also, expect more than 10 coffee beers pouring from Peaks’ Western red cedar tap log, including Campfire Coffee’s Cold Brew.

Come join us for a special beer release event at Delightful Neighborhood Market in North Tacoma celebrating a monumental collaboration effort!

“Matcha Do About Nothing” is a Hazy IPA brewed with real Matcha from Fukuoka Japan brewed by Seattle’s Lucky Envelope and based on the award winning Matcha Hazy IPA recipe designed by Jeana Skiles.
