Soloist Spotlight:
Praised for her "vocal gymnastics and projection," Eun Ah Roh, soprano has performed the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute with multiple companies, along with roles such as Violetta in La Traviata and Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro. She has appeared with New York Lyric Opera, Vegas City Opera, and at Carnegie Hall as a soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Handel’s Messiah.
Reno-Tahoe baritone Emzy Burroughs returns to Tahoe Symphony as our featured soloist for Bach's stunning cantata, "Ich habe genug". Emzy holds an MM in vocal performance from UNR and has performed with companies such as Musical Theatre West, Nevada Opera, and Opera San Jose. He is delighted to sing for TOCCATA, and grateful for the support of his family and friends.
Natalie (Talie) Schiestel, mezzo-soprano has studied classical opera since childhood, performing across the U.S. and abroad, including four appearances at Carnegie Hall. After a decade-long hiatus to build a successful interior design firm, she is thrilled to return to music, recently debuting with Firebird Light Opera and now with the Tahoe Symphony.
Tenor Stephen Thompson, with a BFA from NYU and a master’s from Emerson College, has performed extensively as a soloist, composer, conductor, and educator. Former Artistic Director of Sierra Music Society and Firebird Light Opera, he has also directed award-winning choirs and recently completed an original opera, Il Don.
Kimberly Li, mezzo-soprano and music educator, currently serves as Co-Director of Choirs at McQueen High School in Reno, Nevada. A versatile performer, she has sung with renowned ensembles and appeared in major choral and operatic works, earning recognition as a finalist in the NATS Cal-Western Competition and the ACDA Conducting Masterclass.
