On behalf of The Apollo Theater’s Board of Directors and Spring Benefit Chairs, I extend my deepest gratitude to all who joined us for our 2025 Spring Benefit. It was an extraordinary evening of celebration and reflection, as we honored the enduring power of Black artistry and the communities that sustain it.

We were privileged to recognize two visionary artists: Clive Davis, one of the most celebrated creative forces in music history, received The Apollo’s Legacy Award and was inducted into our Walk of Fame, and Teyana Taylor, the multi-talented singer, songwriter, actor, and director, was honored with our first-ever Innovator Award, recognizing her boundary-breaking contributions to music, film, and culture. 

The evening featured remarkable performances and heartfelt tributes, particularly honoring our very own Richard “Dick” Parsons. These unforgettable moments emphasized The Apollo's significance as a cornerstone of American cultural life. 

Thanks to your generous support and a surprise announcement from the Bloomberg Foundation, the event raised more than $5.6 million for The Apollo’s mission. Your belief in our mission empowers us to continue nurturing talent, advancing Black creativity, and providing accessible cultural programming for generations to come.
