JAYCEES Bring Natural Culture
Celebrate 28th Annual Ecology Day
and Peace Ceremony Community Services
Riverpoint Village - W. Warwick, RI (May 07, 2025) -- As a statewide community celebration, the JAYCEES are preparing for their 28th annual Ecology Day and Peace Prayer Ceremony set for Saturday, May 10, 2024 @ 10:15Am. There may be a rain delay.
The JAYCEES continue their service work while interacting with other organizations for the yearly EARTH Day Month affairs and the statewide ARBOR Day events that features prestigious programs as Eagle Scout Projects as well.
The Ecology Day Ceremony - during the busy month of May - calls upon religious leaders, public safety units, cadets, scouts, students, sports leagues and area wide veteran groups to offer some reflection of their own experiences and sharing them with the entire community.
There is also 100 flowers that are cultivated as a memorial to the 100 lives lost in the 2003 Station Fire Nightclub as well as a peace service presenting a gratitude of freedom and expression here in America.
Additionally, as a Tree City/USA Community, now certified for twenty-four [24] consecutive years via the National Arbor Day Foundation in conjunction with the RIDEM Forestry Environment, such a program is necessary to qualify. The JAYCEES also received a 2025 Rhode Island Governor's Anti-Litter - Clean-up - Grant for their entire seasonal projects.

The ceremony and event is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025 @ 10:15Am at the JAYCEE Arboretum within Riverpoint COMMUNITY Park , 110 Hay Street in W. Warwick. The Arboretum runs along the West Bay BikePath and the confluence of the Pawtuxet River Valley and Watershed uniting five(5) contiguous communities.. In the event of rain - showers under the Pavilion.
