Recording artist, bassist, and composer Endea Owens has a true passion for philanthropy and teaching. In 2020, Endea founded the Community Cookout, a non-profit organization birthed out of the Covid-19 pandemic that provides meals and music to underserved neighborhoods in New York City. To date, Endea’s organization has helped feed close to 3,000 New Yorkers and has hosted over a dozen free music concerts.

So you have an idea for a TV show or film – now what? The ability to express an idea is almost as important as the idea itself, and we’re eager to help you with that. You’ll learn valuable techniques from industry insiders on how to prepare a TV/film pitch including: developing a hook, considering your audience, and coming up with a pitch deck and sizzle reel.

We're proud to be partnering again with Brooklyn's largest and oldest street festival, Atlantic Antic™. Visit the BRIC tents at two locations: Atlantic Avenue between Court & Clinton Streets for TV / film equipment demos and just a few steps away on Atlantic between Henry & Hicks where our youth education team will have lots of fun activities for kids. BRIC President Wes Jackson joins first-ever Live Performance Industry Council

Last week, Mayor Eric Adams convened the city's first-ever Live Performance Industry Council meeting, where leaders in live performance and government gathered to address challenges facing the live performance industry. The council will develop strategies to drive inclusive growth in the sector, support New York City's creative economy, and ensure the industry recovers beyond pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels.
