From: The City of Pembroke PinesThe City of Pembroke Pines is turning 63 and there’s going to be an ultimate Birthday Bonanza to celebrate. All are welcome to the festivities on Pines Day, April 22, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. The western-themed birthday celebration will include musical and dance performances, free rides, games and activities and a Petting Farm all day. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn to lasso with the “Cowgirl Circus” entertainer, and greet and meet “Western Theme” children’s characters between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Little sheriffs can take part in a hunt for give-a-ways every hour allowing them to create a festival sheriff costume for fun; the Kids Konnection Business Expo provides lots of info on kid-friendly businesses and what they have to offer; and there will be plenty of food trucks and watering holes to quench everyone’s tastebuds. Two giant Cupcake Towers filled with free “themed” cupcakes for the first 1,000 singing happy birthday at 6 pm will definitely be a highlight before the nigh concludes with a special free concert by Tim Charron – Country Rock with a Twist of Lime.
And all Rhinestone Cowgirls ages 3-16 are invited to take part in the Royal Court Pageant that will be held in conjunction with the celebration. All participants must be Pembroke Pines residents, and all participants will compete for the Queen and Princess title in their age group.
