Pembroke Pines, FL  (Monday, January 9, 2023) – The Carl Shechter Southwest Focal Community Center is proud to be the winner of CBS4’s Festive Forecast contest which partnered with Humana to see which Senior Community Centers across South Florida had decked the halls with their elaborate holiday decorations inside their venue and give them an opportunity to showcase their beautiful work.

The Community Centers which participated included: 

Northwest Focal Point Senior Center – Margate, Florida

The Carl Shechter S.W.F.P Community Center – Pembroke Pines,

 Florida Homestead Community Center – Homestead, 

Florida De Hostos Senior Center – Miami, Florida

As the winner of the competition, an event will be hosted by The Carl Shechter S.W.F.P Community Center on Thursday, January 12^th at 11:30 AM.  The Center is located at 301 NW 103^rd Avenue, Pembroke Pines, Florida. The Center’s beautiful holiday decorations will be on display, including over 25 Themed Christmas Trees. As part of this event celebration The Carl Shechter S.W.F.P Community Center has partnered with Humana and Feeding South Florida where donations will be received from the South Florida Community and will be given to Feeding South Florida to continue spreading assistance to those in need. During the event there will be Music, Lunch, Refreshments and more.
