MANCHESTER, NH (Dec. 18, 2024) – The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill®, a popular fast-casual eatery serving a modern take on traditional Mediterranean fare, officially opened its first New Hampshire location in Manchester. Located at 946 South Willow St. near the Mall of New Hampshire in the heart of the city, the 2,271-square-foot restaurant is owned and operated by friends and business partners Kevin Chauvette and John Hall.
To celebrate the opening, the restaurant hosted a fundraiser on Tuesday, Dec. 17 in which 30 percent of net sales for the day were donated to Convoy of Hope, a faith-based organization offering help and hope to communities around the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreach and disaster response.
“After more than forty years working in the restaurant industry, including opening many from the ground up, we’re thrilled to bring The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill’s flagship New Hampshire location to Manchester,” said Hall. “We know locals will love our healthier menu options, delicious flavors and hospitable, fast-casual atmosphere.”
Aligning with The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill mission to Live Your Life Deliciously, the new eatery serves an award-winning menu filled with unique family recipes that have been passed down for generations. Popular dishes like The Great Greek Gyro and lamb, steak and chicken Souvlaki plates are all prepared in-house using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Many selections can be customized, such as the Classic Greek Salad or Rice Bowl, with a choice of gyro meat, salmon and more.
Adding to the experience are side dishes like made-to-order Feta Fries and four signature house-made dips, including Hummus, Tzatziki, Melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) and Tirokafteri (spicy roasted red pepper). Signature desserts like Baklava, Baklava Ice Cream and Rice Pudding are also served.
“We’re excited to welcome John and Kevin to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill family,” said Bob Andersen, president of The Great Greek. “They have a deep understanding of the industry and the brand’s commitment to creating the best dining experience for guests. We are very confident their restaurant will be a tremendous success.”
The eatery offers a robust catering menu that is perfect for feeding a crowd at family gatherings, large events, meetings and more. From build-your-own Gyro kits to savory Souvlaki Skewers and a variety of side options and desserts, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill offers something for everyone.
“Mediterranean cuisine continues to grow in popularity and is such a great healthy alternative to typical fast-food fare,” said Chauvette, an optometrist who owned nine successful optical stores in New Hampshire before seeking a new culinary venture with Hall. “We look forward to helping guests discover how delicious it can be to make healthier dining choices on the go.”
Hall loves spending time with his family and has served on the boards of the New Hampshire Food Bank and Easter Seals New Hampshire.
Chauvette has been involved with Convoy of Hope for several years and he enjoys the winter sport of curling and golf when the ice melts. He also writes and records music in his spare time.
