This 13-minute film – based on Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ Academy Award®-winning film “Happy Feet” – brings a young penguin’s adventure to life and includes in-theater effects such as snow, wind, bubbles, scents, and more.
Boy Scout Day | March 25
Boy Scouts are invited to join us for discounted admission and interactive programs that help to fulfill badge requirements on Saturday, March 25. Please keep in mind that advanced registration is required by Wednesday, March 22 for programs and by Friday, March 24 for discounted admission. Admission is required to participate in badge programs on March 25.
Girl Scouts Day | April 1
Girl Scouts are invited to join us on Saturday, April 1 for admission discounts and hands-on programs that help fulfill badge requirements. Please keep in mind that advanced registration is required by Wednesday, March 29 for programs and by Friday, March 31 for discounted admission. Admission is required to participate in badge programs on April 1.

On Sunday, April 2 – World Autism Awareness Day – join us for a special morning that will give guests with sensory-processing differences a fun, comfortable and accepting environment to enjoy all the Aquarium has to offer. Lights will be lower, and music and other sounds will be turned down or off. Plus, we will show movies in the new 4D Theater without special effects.
Get Involved in an Important Community Science Project
The Diamondback Terrapin is a species of special concern in the state of Connecticut. One of the greatest threats to turtles, including the diamondback terrapin, is road mortality.
We're looking for Volunteers for our Terrapin Tracking Team to help monitor coastal roadways for terrapin mortalities this spring and summer. Join us for a virtual training session on March 28 to learn all about data collection and protocols.
Calling All Future Educators ... Intern with Us!
The Maritime Aquarium education department provides inquiry-based, STEM-focused enrichment for learners of all ages and backgrounds. This is accomplished through a variety of programs with school groups, interactions with guests at Aquarium exhibits, our summer camp program, and programming aboard our research vessel.
We're now accepting applications for our Early Elementary and Education Internships! These programs will help college students currently enrolled in relevant programs gain valuable experience in the field of education.
