The Nebraska Democratic Party to Host Town Hall Events in Rural Nebraska

Government and Politics

April 10, 2025

The Nebraska Democratic Party (NDP) will host a series of town halls across Nebraska in the next few weeks. This advisory is meant to provide the press an advance of locations, days, and times.

WHAT:
The Nebraska Democratic Party will host additional town halls across rural Nebraska in North Platte, Grand Island, Geneva, and Lexington, Nebraska. The NDP has already hosted town halls in Omaha, Lincoln, and York, Nebraska. The town halls will be part of our “People’s Town Halls” campaign by the NDP statewide and the national party committees of the DNC, ASDC, and DCCC. Guests are invited to bring their questions and concerns. Our Grand Island town hall will feature Congressman Ro Khanna of California’s 17th District as a special guest. Our state party chair and new DNC Vice Chair Jane Kleeb will also attend these events.

WHO:
Nebraska Democratic Party

WHEN:
North Platte Town Hall – Saturday, April 12, 2025, 3 PM to 4 PM (with DNC Vice Chair Kleeb)
Grand Island Town Hall – Friday, April 25, 2025, 6 PM to 8 PM (with Rep. Khanna)
Geneva Town Hall – Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 7 PM to 8:30 PM
Lexington Town Hall – Sunday, May 25, 2025, 3 PM to 4:30 PM

WHERE:
North Platte – Prairie Arts Center – 416 N Jeffers Street
Grand Island – TBA
Geneva – TBA
Lexington – TBA

WHY:
The Republican federal delegation has been directed not to hold in-person town halls by their Washington party leaders. Our elected officials work for us and not the other way around. Nebraskans want to be heard. Our town halls will provide constituents with an outlet for their questions, frustrations, and concerns. Questions about the North Platte town hall should be directed to [email protected]. Questions about the rest of this advisory should be sent to [email protected].
