A Winter Gathering with Kathy Mattea: Good News and Other Favorites

This Sunday, December 8 the Empire State Plaza here in Albany is the place to be for holiday festivities!

At The Egg, we've got two amazing shows to look forward to: the final installment of Family Circle with Veena and Devesh Chandra at 2PM, and Kathy Mattea's holiday show "Good News and Other Favorites" at 8PM.

-- At Family Circle, local sitar and tabla masters Veena & Devesh Chandra lead participants through the basic fundamentals of Indian melody and rhythm in our beautiful Hart Theatre Lobby. This workshop offers children and families a unique hands-on experience to try new instruments. All ages welcome, no experience necessary. RSVP here, suggested donation $15

-- With her signature soulful vocals and acoustic roots, Grammy Award winner Kathy Mattea delivers a heartfelt holiday experience performing timeless favorites – backed by a stellar band, assembled for this tour with some of Nashville’s finest musicians!

And throughout the entire day, the New York State Holiday Tree Lighting and Fireworks Festival & the Great Train Extravaganza will unfold right outside our doors. Enjoy ice skating, ice sculpture carving, eggnog, caroling, a dazzling fireworks display and more.
