From: All About Equine Animal Rescue, IncIt's that time of year we share with you the work we've all been doing throughout the year. We missed last year while we were in the middle of our Big Move, so we have some catching up to do. The stories you'll read this month are your donations, volunteering, likes, shares, and other support at work. We hope you enjoy!
Azmira & Cheyenne
Cheyenne and Azmira came to AAE in July 2022 after an unexpected death in their family. These girls were loved and well cared for and in good condition; however, surviving family had no means to support them. Both are late teen horses with no riding history.
These girls got the works when they arrived including hoof and dental care, vaccines, deworming, and a microchip.
Azmira is a sweet ol' girl, and uncomplicated. She was easy to handle, good with the farrier, and loaded without issue. Azmira was social and enjoyed grooming and attentions. Azmira had an adopter waiting before she arrived. A big beautiful gelding had lost his companion, and he was waiting to be Azmira's guy.
It was love at first sight, for both of these beauties! What a relief, and oh so fulfilling!
Cheyenne is a big, beautiful, and very sweet mare, and she has the most beautiful blue eyes. She is very social, too, and she enjoys handling, grooming, and lots of attention, but she doesn't have an abundance of confidence. She gets very attached to her paddock mate and has anxiety when taken away for handling/grooming or when paddock mate is taken away for handling/grooming.
Cheyenne is fairly good for the farrier and vet, and if with her buddy, she's easy to groom and clean hooves. She's a little slow loading, especially without her pal, but with patience and persistence, she loads.
Like Azmira, Cheyenne quickly found a home where she was a new companion to a gelding that had lost his mate. This match wasn't made in Heaven, she played hard to get (haha)! Cheyenne and her new guy forged a bond over a very slow introduction.

In addition to our typical year end fundraising, you have another way to support AAE and horses-in-need, it's a jewelry auction. Is there a better time than the holidays to give a special gift?
With enormous thanks to our very generous donor, we received an exquisite five piece jewelry donation to boost our fundraising efforts this year. These are beautiful and blingy pieces, and they are sure to make for some extra special holiday gifts.
We are hosting an online auction to benefit the horses. Bidding is open now and continues until December 15, 2022 at 5:00pm!
You can preview the auction here.
Please share with your family, friends, co-workers, and anyone that loves jewelry. Help us spread the word, and let's get that bidding going!!
