From: Town Of ArlingtonThe Department of Planning and Community Development Director (DPCD), Claire Ricker provides an overview of the Complete Streets Prioritization Plan. This effort stems from Connect Arlington, the Town’s Sustainable Transportation Plan, which the Select Board approved in 2021. She also reports the MBTA Communities Working Group has been assembled and will begin their work, welcomes two new members to the DPCD team, and reports on two recent grant awards. One award to support the design of a connection between the Mystic River Path and the Minuteman Bikeway trail and the other to develop a handbook to promote sustainable landscaping. View the update.
Take the Complete Streets Survey by February 2
The Town is kicking off a six-month process to update the Complete Streets Prioritization Plan. The plan will identify approximately 15 street improvement projects in Arlington that will expand safe and accessible options for all travel modes – walking, biking, transit and vehicles – for people of all ages and abilities. Tell us about your experience using various modes of travel in town and where to prioritize safety and usage improvements. Take the survey online by February 2, 2023.
