Feb 2 Town Hall Update
In this Town Hall Update, Town Manager Sandy Pooler acknowledges Black History Month and reports banners are being displayed along Mass Ave Celebrating Black Business Through History. Town Meeting will be held in person this spring. He encourages residents to return the Town census, which arrived in the mail this week. Take the Annual Town Survey and Communications Survey included in the mailer, plus information about Electrify Arlington and ways to save on energy costs and usage. Additionally, Arlington was awarded a federal grant to study the Charles and Mystic Rivers to protect against rising sea levels and the Town’s 2021 Annual Report was recognized by the Mass Municipal Association He congratulates Phyllis Marshall, who recently retired as Arlington’s first appointed Treasurer/Collector and reports an interim Treasurer has started. In March a new Deputy Town Manger / Finance Director will round out the Finance team. View the update
Fill out and Return Your Annual Census
You should receive your Annual Town Census in the mail this week or over the past weekend. Please return it promptly to the Clerk's Office whether or not your household has changes to your information. Registered voters who do not return the census will become inactive and may need to complete a form the next time they vote. Note: we are not using number codes for occupations so please write in your occupation. Read more.

Mass. Municipal Association Recognizes Arlington’s 2021 Annual Report
In January, at its 2023 conference, the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) announced that the Arlington's 2021 Annual Report is the 2nd place winner of the MMA Town Report Contest in Category 1 (population more than 15,000). Annual Town Reports serve to communicate important information to residents and promote an understanding of, and involvement in, local government. Read the full release.
