Deputy Town Manager Appointed
Ms. Zammuto most recently served as Assistant Town Administrator/Executive Director of Municipal Services in the Town of Maynard.  In this role, she managed the day-to-day operations of the Office of Municipal Services which includes building, conservation, economic development, housing, planning, public health, and zoning.  This includes managing direct reports, and collaboratively working with department heads, volunteers, and community stakeholders.   As an example, during COVID, Ms. Zammuto worked with town departments, business owners and abutters to develop and implement a successful outdoor dining program.  She later led the initiative to formalize the local outdoor dining regulations, incorporating what had been learned under the pilot program, in anticipation of eventual end of the license approval waivers.

Prior to her work in Maynard, Ms. Zammuto held the role of Economic Development Coordinator for the Town of Lexington.  Her position was focused on working closely with local and regional partners to welcome visitors and to support local businesses.  Her experience makes her well-suited to working in a community with a visitor based economy and rich history.

“Megan brings a passion for public service and a strong skill set to the role of Deputy Town Manager,” said Town Manager Kerry Lafleur, “We were looking for someone who values collaboration, inclusion, and creativity as well as a commitment to build trust with the community and within our organization.   Megan demonstrates these qualities and we look forward to seeing what she will do in Concord.”

Ms. Zammuto holds a Master of Public Administration from Suffolk University and a Bachelor of Arts from Providence College.  She is a member of the International City/County Management Association, Massachusetts Municipal Management Association and MMMA’s Women Leading Government group.

Ms. Zammuto is expected to start in her new role with the Town of Concord in April.
