Government and Politics

From: Town of HinsdaleThe DPW is currently short-staffed. The Select Board and Finance Committee Chair and Dalton and Peru's DPW Superintendents are aware of the situation. Collectively, they are assisting our Superintendent, Jamie Callahan, in identifying and contacting individuals and contractors to seek assistance, similar to how we managed when four DPW staffers came down with COVID a year ago.
I ask for your patience during the next several weeks as those assisting our us learn the routes and trouble spots around Town. I also ask for your patience with Jamie and the two other DPW Staff members who will be working lots of overtime to ensure our roads are salted, sanded, and plowed as quickly as possible.
Please don't hesitate to contact me at 413-655-2300, x355 if you have questions or concerns, and after hours, you can get the Hinsdale Police Department at 413-655-0201 to report a problem.
Manganese Testing Results
We are still waiting on the water test results from last week's sampling. We will release the information as soon as it becomes available.
A Request from the Town Clerk's Office
The Town Clerk has asked that I remind residents who have yet to do so, please return their annual "Town Census" forms as soon as possible. According to Mass State Law, the Clerk's Office must collect this information from all residents annually. We thank you for your attention to this matter.
