From: City Of Tucson"Today we are celebrating what is possible when we invest in ourselves," said Tucson Mayor Regina Romero. "Our parks and natural spaces bring families together and help us create a thriving city.
I want to thank Tucsonans who voted for Prop 407, helping us make these critical improvements to our parks, playgrounds, sports fields, pools, and new investments in splash pads. Thank you to all of the residents and community members who shared their input to help us shape the future of this park," added the mayor.
This groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone in the journey toward enhancing the recreational amenities at this park. Construction is expected to be completed by December 2024.
“I am excited to help “kickoff” the addition of new lighting, new baseball fields and new soccer fields at Columbus Park,” said Council Member Kevin Dahl. “We are adding more recreational opportunities for the families and kids of Tucson and Ward 3, and I couldn’t be happier!”
Key Projects Under Construction:
