Registration is required for both workshops!
These programs are supported by grants from the Dracut Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Spooky Candles Workshop (Teens and Adults)
Ages: teens and adults - 60 min. workshop
Get ready for Fall with this fun candle making workshop! During this event we will discuss types of candles and which waxes are best suited for which type of candle, the importance of wick sizes, heat resistant container sizes, the difference between essential oils and fragrance oils and complete instructions on how to burn a candle.
Children's Rubber Duckie Soap Workshop
Ages: kids and teens ages 8 + - 60 min. workshop
Ready to make some cute soaps? Join us for a rubber duckie soap-making workshop! During this event, each participant will make their own soap using glycerin based soap and by adding colors, glitter and scents. The process does not involve traditional soap making techniques, so there is no lye exposure. Once the heated soap has cooled slightly, we will add cosmetic grade glitter, colors, essential oil (optional), choose from a variety of rubber duckies to embed and decorate the tops with white soap curls, creating waves. Participants will take their soap home, which can be removed from the mold the following day and used right away!
