December 17, 2024

United Franchise Group(UFG), home to an affiliated family of brands, franchise services and consultants, recently welcomed high school students from six Palm Beach County schools to its West Palm Beach headquarters for an interactive day focused on entrepreneurship and franchising opportunities.

The event began with welcome remarks from Laura Titus, head of UFG Cares, the company's charitable division, followed by an engaging presentation on franchising fundamentals by Dr. John Hayes, Titus Chair for Franchise Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University and director of the Titus Center for Franchising.

Students participated in hands-on activities with several UFG brands, including sign-making workshops in the Signarama production room, and culinary experiences with Graze Craze and The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in the training kitchen. A highlight of the day was a panel discussion featuring successful local franchise owners Mike DeFeo of Signarama West Palm Beach, Cindee Connor of Graze Craze Boca Raton, and Jake Tobin of Transworld Business Advisors West Palm Beach.

The event, which was sponsored by the Palm Beach Country School District for students enrolled in a Choice Program, emphasizes UFG's ongoing commitment to educational outreach and community engagement in Palm Beach County.
