UScellular Donates Practice Equipment, Art & Craft Supplies Worth $1,500 to Girls on the Run Central Virginia & Blue Ridge
LYNCHBURG, Va. –UScellular donated $1,500 worth of practice equipment and supplies (practice equipment, poster making supplies and friendship bracelet kits) to Girls on the Run Central Virginia & Blue Ridge in December at the charity’s headquarters located at 1713 12th Street in Lynchburg. The donation supports the charity mission of inspiring participants to discover their inner strength while promoting physical activity and essential life skills. Girls on the Run Central Virginia & Blue Ridge fosters self-confidence, emotional management and empathetic relationships among girls of all abilities through evidence-based programs.
The items UScellular donated will help Girls on the Run Central Virginia & Blue Ridge put on races. The posterboards and craft supplies will be used to make signs during their events. The friendship bracelet kits can help girls make and trade bracelets with each other and other schools that they work with to promote and foster community for the program.
As part of UScellular’s “Gift of Connection” program, the donation to Girls on the Run Central Virginia & Blue Ridge is one of 50 gifts that were donated to non-profits across the country. The company is helping Girls on the Run Central Virginia & Blue Ridge by providing needed supplies in gratitude for their dedication to building connections through art, music and sports in their local communities.
