Social Service Grant Applications

The Village of Vernon Hills invites organizations that provide social services to our community to submit applications for fiscal year 2023-2024 grant funding. The Village understands the importance of the services provided by our local agency partners to our community, and therefore earmarks funds from each budget to help support qualifying organizations.

Interested organizations are asked to submit a completed 2023/2024 Social Service Grant Application by March 1, 2023. Applications will be reviewed as part of the 2023/2024 Budget Process, with funds expected to be distributed in May, which marks the start of the Village's new fiscal year.

Military Banners Program Returns

The Village is looking to again honor residents who have served or who are currently serving the nation by featuring them on photo banners, which will be placed on select light poles around town. The Military Honors Banner Program was launched last year as a partnership with American Legion Post 1247. Help us honor our residents again this year by completing a program application.

Congratulations on the first two veterans being honored by the 2023 program – the late James Heier (creator of the Jim and Helen Heier Veterans Fishing Derby) and recently retired Village staffer Lisa Fischbach.
