September 13-17 holds countless activities in Clarksville to honor and celebrate our Veterans including the Opening Dinner with Second Chance Ministries, 5th Annual Heroes Breakfast, and our Valor luncheon. We end the celebration with the 7th Annual Welcome Home Parade. Our goal is for all veterans who participate to feel celebrated and welcome!

6:00pm: Opening Dinner - Valor Hall

This will be a wonderful night of barbecue and fellowship, and music.  A delicious barbecue dinner will be served and we will be entertained with a patriotic salute by 2nd Chance Ministries.   

Thursday September 14, 2023

8:30am: Hero Breakfast -  First Baptist Church Clarksville - 499 Commerce Street, Clarksville, TN
This breakfast will pair JROTC cadets and students from the local high schools with veterans and active duty soldiers for a guided discussion and meal. Sponsored by the Wounded Warrior Project.

2:00pm: Women's Veterans Reception - Tennessee Valley Brewing Clarksville, TN
A special reception honoring Women Veterans

6:30pm: Remembrance Ceremony - Hilldale Baptist Church - 2001 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN
A Massing of the Colors, tributes and special music join for a special time of reflection and remembrance at Hilldale Baptist Church.

Friday September 15, 2023

11:00am: Valor Luncheon - First Baptist Church Clarksville - 499 Commerce Street, Clarksville, TN
Featuring speaker, David Christian, who was wounded in action seven times and awarded several medals including the Distinguished Service Cross for extraordinary heroism while serving in South Vietnam as a Lieutenant.  He is best known for his veterans' advocacy efforts. Quilts of Valor will also be presented at this catered meal. Tickets can be purchased here.  Sponsored by CDE Lightband.

6:00pm: Salute to Veterans Dinner - Oak Grove Gaming Grandstand Room
Enjoy a delicious meal in this beautiful room, with time to reflect on the activities of the week.  After dinner, we will celebrate the 100th birthday of Country Music legend, Hank Williams, Sr. with a tribute show featuring Jason Petty.

Saturday September 16, 2023

10:00am: Welcome Home Veterans Parade
Our 7th Annual Welcome Home Parade will take to the streets in Downtown Clarksville.  JROTC Cadets, marching bands, military vehicles and floats will gather to honor our veterans and say a very special Welcome Home.  Veterans can march or ride in the parade.

5:00pm: Barbecue & Bluegrass at Beachaven - 1100 Dunlop Lane, Clarksville, TN
Local bluegrass band, Passenger Creek, will perform on the stage at Beachaven Winery during our annual free picnic.  (supplies are limited)

After Passenger Creek performs, we will have a wonderful show featuring some great country music with the nephew of Johnny Cash, Mark Alan Cash, and 90's hitmaker, Ken Mellons.
