From: West Palm Beach Public LibraryWe love this news!
Jennifer McQuown has been selected to be our new Assistant Director! Please give her a warm welcome when you see her!
A bit about Jennifer …
Jennifer has worked for the City of West Palm Beach since 2005, where she began her career as a Teen Librarian and then progressed to the Youth Services Manager. Under her tenure as manager, she has overseen world-class programming for babies, children, and teens, including managing large literary events such as the Books and Musical (BAM) Festival that annually draws well over 5,000 patrons to downtown. She has assisted in securing over $1 million in grant funding which has initiated “out-of-box” concepts for our community, such as the establishment of the Mandel Mobile unit that provides library resources to citizens where they live and play. In 2020, she received the coveted American Library Association’s Scholastic Library Publishing Award for the innovative service initiatives she has spearheaded for the youth in our city.
Congratulations, Jennifer!
