Where to Get Girl Scout Cookies Before They're Gone on May 7th

Clubs and Organizations

From: Girl Scouts Of Connecticut

Although more than 1.3 million packages of Girl Scout Cookies arrived in Connecticut at the beginning of the month, they are quickly selling out across the state!  Girl Scouts of Connecticut (GSOFCT) is helping customers track them down this spring season before they’re gone until next year.  Specifically, the organization is offering a variety of ways to locate a cookie booth in one’s community via text, phone and online methods.

“Cookie sales are critical for individual troops and for our overall organization, so we wanted to increase convenience for our customers,” said Diana Mahoney, Chief Executive Officer at Girl Scouts of Connecticut. “Whether people are visiting the Cookie Finder section of our website or texting “Cookie” to our special platform, there are plenty of ways to access them easily and quickly.  What’s more, we also offer a dedicated Customer Care Team that can let callers know when and where troops will be selling cookies in their local region.”

Mahoney notes that Connecticut girls and troops received their cookie delivery on April 1, 2023 to fulfill initial orders. Cookie booth sales began that same day at local restaurants, retail and grocery stores, and will continue until May 7, 2023, offering customers their favorite flavors like Thin Mints®, Samoas®, Tagalongs®, Do-si-dos®, Trefoils®, Lemon-Ups®, and Adventurefuls™.

The easy Cookie Finder system on the www.gsofct.org website allows customers to support a local troop by entering a zip code and finding a cookie booth sale in their community.  Additionally, cell phone users can text the word, “Cookie” to 59618 and pull up a list of cookie booth locations.  Lastly, the public can contact GSOFCT’s Customer Care Team at 800-922-2770 to connect with a local Girl Scout in their immediate area.

Most booth sales also offer customers the opportunity to purchase cookies through GSOFCT’s Gift of Caring program, “Cookies for Heroes”, which donates boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to service women and men overseas and at home, as well as local community heroes.  Cookies purchased for the Cookies for Heroes program are $5 per package.

“There are plenty of easy ways to feed your Girl Scout Cookie cravings this season and no matter how you choose to get them, you’ll be supporting local Girl Scouts on their mission to make the world a better place”, concludes Mahoney. “What’s more, all proceeds remain right here in our state so that we can continue to offer a broad range of enriching experiences for girls, that includes travel, outdoor adventures, STEM programming and of course, summer camp.”
