Really excited concerning the Whispering Wind Howard County, Maryland Pow-Wow (notice name change) slated for July 15-16, 2023 at the Howard County Fairgrounds at West Friendship, MD!!!!!  This is our 30th year venturing to Howard County.  Salute to everyone that supported us all these years.

PLEASE JOIN US this year for a bigger, and better, cultural  and educational event.

Plans for this year are:

1.  Dancers, dancers, dancers, more than ever.  This is a contest pow-wow this year (send e-mail to get particulars on the contets).  From time to time you will be invited to join our dancers in the circle.

2. Better seating and visibility.  Also, you are welcome to bring your own seating.

3. More food vendors, and a greater variety.  Buffalo burgers, fry bread, Indian Tacos, buffalo stew, Indian Corn Soup, gator bites, etc...  Hot dogs, fries, cheese burgers, etc.... also available.

4. More and different vendors.  Americn Indian Jewelry Galore and so much more!! The best you will find anywhere.

5. Free parking.

6.  A bigger and better show.  Different dancers and hands on cultural educational workshops.  The folks that attend the Howard County Pow-Wow expect a top notch program.  We are not there yet, but we will be a lot closer this year. However, a great show demands an increase in admission for this year.  $15 for adults and $8 for children. Everything costs so much more (entertainers, hotel, gas, event crew, etc....).

Save money and time.  Advance tickets cost $12 for adults and $7 for children.  A special entrance will be open for those that pay early.

7.  Hands on Art and craft classes will be available for a fee.  Moccasin classes cost ($45), beadwork ($25), pottery ($35), and dreamcatchers ($20).   Best to make reservations if you are planning on taking classes so that you are assured of a spot. These classes can be paid for in advance or at the gate using  Venmo (Venmo@Stacey-Richardson-76) or through cash app: $NativeOppWay2020.
