SUBJECT:  PSA – Why Pets are Important

OLYMPIA, WA — Pets provide many benefits to humans.  They comfort us and give us companionship.   According to studies by NIH, the CDC, NCHR and others, pet ownership has been seen to ease anxiety and stress in adults and children and affect the overall quality of our lives including our health. In return for all they do for us we take care of them as well as ourselves.

Just remember a few things.    Keep pets out of rooms where you are using cleaners with bleach, alcohol or other powerful chemicals.   Be mindful of products used in yards and flower beds as well.  Many can be harmful or deadly to our furry friends.

Caring for a pet will give you years of joy and a whole lot of smiles.

Speaking of caring.   If you would ever like to donate we would greatly appreciate it!  Check our website for our latest list of donation needs.
