Dishing the Dirt: Artifacts from 19th Century Wilmington
Thursday, September 14, 7pm

Wondering what all the activity was at the corner of Lowell and Woburn Streets last summer? Curious about what lies buried under the dirt at Wilmington's last blacksmith shop? Wilmington's Historical Commission will dish the dirt on their archaeological dig that uncovered more than they could have ever imagined. Located in the Stewart Room.

Did you know that September is Deaf Awareness month? Join us for a party and an American Sign Language class rolled into one! SIGNING Basics hosts this event for beginners or people looking to brush up their skills. This unique class is conducted entirely in ASL, with no sound used. Sign language interpreting is not provided; you will learn the vocabulary as you go throughout the class. Virtual program held on Zoom.

Please Note: We will be sharing your email with the hosting organization, Signing Basics. They will provide you with the Zoom link and introductory information the day prior to the program.

If you have a tech question that's been bothering you, stop by Drop-in Tech Help and ask the experts. Located in the Johnson Room.

Tiny Art Show is back! We want you to make a tiny piece of tiny art! Open to all ages and all mediums! Paint a tiny canvas, draw a tiny picture, create a tiny sculpture, a tiny felted creation, tiny knitting, or even tiny ceramics! Be creative!

Specifications: All artwork must be either on a 3x3 inch canvas or, if 3D, must be 3 inches or smaller in all dimensions. Tiny canvases will be available for pickup while supplies last, but don't fret if you don't get one--you can get your own at a craft store or create something 3D or on stiff paper!

Canvas Pick-Up: 9/9-9/16 (while supplies last, no registration required)

Drop-Off: 9/18-9/25 - When you're ready to submit, please fill out the digital submission form here or fill out a printable submission form here or at the library.

Artwork on Display: 9/29-10/14

Reception (open to anyone, no registration or participation required!): 10/2 at 6:30pm
