Winona Steamboat Days 2023

Arts and Entertainment

June 12, 2023

From: Winona Steamboat Days

Schedule:

June 14, 2023

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM : Kid’s Power Pedal Tractor Pull - 2nd and Lafayette Street

Tractor Pedal Pulling is a fun and exciting event that has continued to grow in popularity across the US and the world. It is an event for kids ages 4-11 where each child sits on a pedal tractor and drags a weighted sled as far as they can go. As the sled is dragged it creates friction, making it harder to pull. So the farther you go, the harder it gets! Pedal Pulling is a family-friendly activity and splits the kids apart into age divisions.

Our Pedal Pulls can be state-sanctioned to qualify the top two boys and top two girls to compete in the State Championship Pedal Pulling Competition. Whether the event is sanctioned or not, the top 3 children in each age group will receive a trophy, and all children will receive a participation ribbon.

A TIMELESS TRIBUTE centered around making classic rock sing-alongs with dynamic vocals, huge guitars, dashing keyboards and powerful drums. This show is MAKING WAVES as the NATIONAL TOURING TRIBUTE show in North America. Arch Allies has performed from Florida to Washington state and from Mexico to Canada with performances for everything from event entertainment, fairs and festivals , and of course, many casinos around the country.

Being accused of “Lip Syncing” due to their ability to so perfectly replicate the big bands of the 80’s, is the best compliment they have received. People just have a hard time believing any band can SOUND SO MUCH like the real thing! Arch Allies succeeds.

JOURNEY, upon hearing of Arch Allies and watching videos online, were so concerned at their ability to perform their music so closely to their own, put out a cease and desist immediately forbidding Arch Allies to show any videos
featuring their music on any public forum. If we can IMPRESS THEM with our performances, you can imagine how much the fans enjoy the show!

Finally, this band knows how to HAVE FUN on stage and brings that NON-STOP EXCITEMENT and energy throughout their concert with the addition of their huge video screen, confetti and professional sound and lighting. From the beginning of their show, till the final bow at the end of the night, people are completely engrossed with THE EXPERIENCE THAT IS ARCH ALLIES.

The 2023 Parade is full and it will be one of the best yet!

For more information on the parade please email [email protected]

NOTE – many people email and message us over social media about being in the parade and believe it is a “first to come, first to get in” situation and it is not the case. We are a juried parade and look to select who we let for their entertainment and novelty value.

We take it seriously that we are one of the top parades in the midwest each year and can not allow every single organization into the parade because it would take way too long to complete the parade and it would become boring. Please understand just because you were in the parade in previous years does not qualify you for future years.

Also, understand that we get hundreds if not thousands of solicitations for the parade and many other things. So, if all we did is respond to every single solicitation then we would not get much else done. We love that people are interested in Steamboat Days, but please realize that we are all volunteers and have jobs.

The Steamboat Days Grande Parade is held each year on the closing day of our festival. This year (2023) the parade will be on Sunday, June 18th at 12:01 pm. Our parade includes units with special entertainment value for the more than 20,000 spectators lining our 4 lanes, mile-long parade route. The parade is also televised and covered by local radio.

The parade begins on the corner of Mankato Avenue and Broadway (6th Street) and ends near the corner of Center Street and Broadway (6th Street).

Special features for 2023 include: United States Marine Band, Miss America 2023, local and visiting bands along with many other entertaining and fun-filled units.
