There’s snow winter celebration like the Cayton’s Winter Wonder Festival, and you’re invited to revel in the enchanting traditions and global customs of the most wondrous season!
Winter Wonder is a time for celebrating old traditions and new beginnings as we reflect on the year that’s happened and revel in the year to come. It may be cold outside, but between the cookies and the hot cocoa, the gift of our time with our loved ones also keeps us warm inside as we marvel at the infinite possibilities of a most wondrous season.
Joe Jacobson
10AM-2PM
Award-winning robotics-installation artist Joe Jacobson will unveil his dazzling lantern exhibit for the Cayton before leading his mane event: crafting New Year Lion puppets.
Festival Highlights
European Lights Festival Room
Inspired by the brilliant Amsterdam and Berlin Light Festivals, everything is aglow in our European Lights Festival Room. Create luminous art using UV and neone markers, crayons, and pastels, manipulate glow-in-thedark slime, or have a striking time while glow-in-the-dark bowling.
Winter Wonderland
Go walking in our Winter Wonderland, and bring your whimsy to our snowflake mural, add your swirl to our snow globe, or make our Cayton tree frosty with snowflakes.
Snow Exploration
Frolic and play the Cayton way with snow much snow. From a flurry of stimulating sensory snow to a blizzard of art using frozen shaving cream, there’s snow much to explore!
ACA Lion Dance
2PM
The pageantry of the Chinese Lunar New Year roars into the Cayton with an exhilarating performance by UCLA’s Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) Lion Dance troupe. Come usher in the Year of the Rabbit at the Cayton!
