Free U.S. Citizenship Preparation Course (10 Weeks)
Woburn Public Library, Burlington Public Library, and St. Mark Community Education have partnered to offer a free 10-week Citizenship Preparation course.
Saturdays, March 4 – May 6, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
This course covers the naturalization process and prepares students for the citizenship interview. Topics included are the 100 civics questions, the reading and writing sections, and the interview questions based on the N-400 application. Free assistance is available for students who need help with the citizenship application.
Course Requirements
-Intermediate level of English.
-Legal U.S. Permanent resident (hold a green card) for 4.6 years
OR
-Legal U.S. Permanent resident (hold a green card) for 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen.
Registration is required for the Citizenship Course. Registration starts February 6th.

Politics with Principles: First Female Cabinet Secretary Frances Perkins
Saturday, March 25. 3-4 PM.
She was the creator of Social Security, the first female US Cabinet Secretary, and relentless champion of workers and retirees. Yet relatively few of us have heard of Frances Perkins and even fewer know the rocky journey of this woman whose contributions live on to benefit people today. In honor of Women’s History Month, Labor Secretary Frances Perkins will visit to tell her remarkable story.

Planning for Medicare-Countdown to 65
Tuesday, March 21. 7-8 PM.
Planning for Medicare is a presentation and discussion led by a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts representative. It’s geared towards individuals approaching Medicare Eligibility. Topics covered include health insurance information outside of employer sponsored coverage, such as an explanation of Medicare, the Medicare enrollment timeline, Medigap and Medicare Advantage plans and programs available to early retirees, and COBRA.
