Storytime With Santa
He’s back and ready to visit with the kids!
Santa is back for Storytime at the Opera House. Register your child to attend on Saturday, December 7th. We’ll have (4) sessions: 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 a.m., and 12:00 Noon. Each session can accommodate up to 15 children, and the cost is $10 per child. Grown-ups do not require a ticket. Kids will be greeted by elves as well as Mr. & Mrs. Claus, then Santa will read a story to them from the Opera House stage… and Mrs. Claus may have something up her sleeve! ?
After Storytime, each child will be able to briefly chat with Santa, and parents/guardians may take their own photos. Afterward, our young guests will be given a special treat bag (courtesy of the Woodland Opera House Guild) to take home. What fun!!

The Invasion Begins!
War of the Worlds is an infamous radio play from 1938, adapted by Howard E. Koch and based on the novel by H.G. Wells, depicting an alien invasion of Earth. Come relive this frightening story directed by Gil and Lenore Sebastian for one weekend only in our Pop-Up Black-box Theatre.

Tantalizing Titles: A Musical Revue of Book-Inspired Broadway Songs!
Join us for Tantalizing Titles, the exciting culmination of our Fall Musical Theatre Workshop series! Our workshops are designed for beginner to intermediate actors, dancers, and singers, with a focus on creating a supportive and enjoyable environment where each student can thrive. Over the course of these workshops, students have explored essential elements of musical theatre, including characterization, vocal technique, projection, theatre dance, and industry terminology, along with theatre etiquette and professionalism.
This family-friendly showcase celebrates the students' hard work and dedication, bringing to life songs inspired by beloved books featured in musicals. It’s a night filled with music, storytelling, and talent, making it an event not to be missed.
Musical Theatre Dance Masterclass Featuring Ann Reinking’s Chicago
Step into the world of Broadway with a masterclass led by Gregory Butler, associate choreographer of the 6-time Tony Award-winning Chicago and choreographer for its current U.S. national tour. Chicago holds the title of the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, and Gregory brings 28 years of experience with the production to this unique experience.
This 90-minute masterclass immerses you in Ann Reinking’s award-winning choreography, style, and dance vocabulary—all brought to life by someone who was there to see her brilliance unfold.

Parents, we will hold a Mandatory Parent Meeting via ZOOM on Thursday, December 5th at 6:00 p.m. This meeting will go over everything to expect at the auditions, rehearsals, tech rehearsals, and more!

We are thrilled to announce that the theme for our 2025 Dance Showcases will be “Once Upon a Time!” This year, we would love to feature a design created by one of our talented students!
The winning design will be showcased on all marketing materials, t-shirts, and posters for the showcase. Plus, the winner will receive a showcase t-shirt and two complimentary tickets for their family!

Set for Sunday, January 12 at 6:00 p.m., you can look forward to an exciting evening of entertainment along with the announcement of our 2025-26 season productions. You’ll definitely want to be there in person to experience our Program, Raffle, and Auction!
