Corduroy
March 17 - 26
Purchase tickets Here
Our next Theatre for Families production is a very special one! It is based on the familiar and beloved picture books that many of us remember from our childhood, “Corduroy” and “A Pocket for Corduroy,” written by Don Freeman.
The story follows the loveable teddy bear, Corduroy, as he wanders through a department store in search of his missing button. In pursuit of Corduroy is an increasingly exasperated Night Watchman. Little Lisa, in the meantime, searches for a way to win over Mom so she can give the bear a loving home.
The tender, enduring story about true friendship stirs up the stage with a rumpus of action, joy, and pathos. Directed by Ania Mieszkowska, this is sure to be a family favorite! Performances will take place on Friday nights at 7:30 p.m., as well as Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
Purchase tickets online at the button below or from our box office at 340 Second Street/(530) 666-9617. Box office hours: Tuesday-Friday from 10:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Junior Theatre Festival Update
We are proud to announce that for the 2nd year in a row, the Woodland Opera House has taken home the Freddie G. Award for Excellence in Ensemble for our Rising Stars production of Godspell, JR at the 20th Annual Junior Theatre Festival held this past weekend in Sacramento! Our cast of 15, made of young performers 12 to 17 years old, presented a 15-minute selection from our August production directed & choreographed by our Education Director, Andrea St. Clair, and Music Directed by Lori Jarvey.
Adjudicators gave beautiful feedback regarding the cast’s commitment to storytelling, their careful handling of the emotional material, and their joy during their performance. We were thrilled that our students received such wonderful feedback and invaluable tips that they can carry forward into next season and beyond. Congratulations to each who participated and thank you to our wonderful staff members and parent chaperones.
