The World of Winter Festival is a free, outdoor celebration in Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, celebrating winter through art, events and activities for all ages. Presented by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., the festival transforms the city into a winter wonderland each year.

Now in its 6th year, World of Winter features stunning art installations, interactive exhibits and live performances, offering a unique way to embrace the season and enjoy the beauty of winter.

Gather your team and get ready to compete in this wacky, action-packed event. Teams of six race across the rink in sleds, scooping up balls in this hilarious, fast-paced competition.

- Adult Division: 3:30 PM – 6 PM

What to Expect:

- Family and Adult Divisions: Two categories—one for families and one for adults—so everyone can join the fun!
- Prize Bags: Winning teams in each division take home awesome prize bags!

How To Compete:

In this one-of-a-kind competition, teams of six (each with a “hippo” in a sled) will race across the ice to collect balls—just like the classic board game, but with a human twist! Register here to compete as a family or adult team.
