City of West Palm Beach Announces Dismissal of Complaint Against Mayor Keith A. James

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – The City of West Palm Beach is pleased to announce the dismissal of complaint C23-010 filed by Rodney Mayo against Mayor Keith James. The complaint alleged retaliatory behavior in violation of the Palm Beach County Code of Ethics.

Following a thorough investigation and a probable cause hearing held on December 14, 2023, the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics found no evidence supporting the allegations. The Commission concluded that Mayor Keith James did not engage in any action violating the Code of Ethics.

In response to the dismissal, Mayor Keith James stated, "I appreciate the thorough review conducted by the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics. The decision reaffirms my commitment to serving the residents of West Palm Beach with integrity and in adherence to ethical standards."

The Commission has issued a final order of dismissal (Order No. C23-010), officially clearing Mayor Keith James of any wrongdoing.
