Tulsi, aloe vera, stevia, purslane and lemon grass, all grown here in the Shenandoah Valley, are just a few of the "super foods" you will find in your share bag this summer. Plus, of course, lots of the standard garden vegetables, like deeply flavorful garlic, heirloom tomatoes, salad vegetables and 'new' potatoes, all with the full flavor of biodynamics bringing you alive with each bite!

Our full share is described as a 'family share,' intended for a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 young children, but it works great for a couple of vegetarians or fresh local food lovers!

Our CSA, with the exception of the AU-site, is 'drop style,' we leave your share in a grocery bag at one of our sheltered sites until you can pick up later that day.

 Local is best, but Fresh AND Local is even better!

Fresh and Local CSA is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project dedicated to serving as a model of sustainability while providing the freshest, most nutritious produce possible to households in the Metro Washington, D.C. and the Shepherdstown area.

Our produce gets better and better every year because we are building our soil with minerals and compost.

Many are aware that the nutritional content of food has gone down drastically over the past few generations due to mineral depletion of the soil. We are happy to report that is not true for the food we grow.
