Agawam Chamber of Commerce Goals & Objectives

1. Develop and present thematic programs and events: 2 breakfasts (Legislative in the fall & Annual in the spring), a Candidates forum, panel discussions addressing business issues, and a golf social in the summer.

2. Schedule "Spotlight on Business" tours (Program Committee), which showcases Agawam Chamber businesses.

3. Develop board and committee membership. Orient the full board on the benefits of Chamber membership, previous year's accomplishments and affiliated chamber support. Encourage standing committees to expand their membership to include non-board member involvement.

4. Increase Chamber visibility by continuing monthly feature articles in various local and regional publications. Encourage members to participate in the Priority Pass to do business locally.

5. Develop membership by personally contacting and visiting new businesses as part of our outreach program. Publicize new benefits to the full business community. Use professional marketing expertise of our members to develop a membership campaign.

6. Inform the Agawam Mayor of Chamber membership benefits and work cooperatively with all municipal officials to encourage local economic development.
