The Wayne Union County Chapter of the American Red Cross serves both counties by providing humanitarian assistance and promoting health and safety in the community.

Last year, the chapter provided assistance to 29 families who faced a fire in their home, assisted 114 United States service members and their families and trained 5690 individuals in First Aid, CPR, AED and aquatics.

A  United Way Agency, the Wayne Union Chapter, receives 15% of its budget needs for United Way. 35% from community education fees. The remaining 50% is direct individual or corporate donations.
