Mission and Goals
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1956 by a group of older Williamsville businessmen who represented the majority of businesses along Main Street. Now, 51 years later, our Chamber is one of the country's largest suburban chambers. Through its Board of Directors, scores of dedicated volunteers, strategic partnerships and more than 2,000 members, the Chamber works to protect, accelerate and facilitate collaboration of the business interests in the Buffalo Niagara region.
Goal - To serve as a hub for business
In early 2006, the Chamber opened its Suburban Solutions Center at 350 Essjay Road in Centerpointe Office Park. This center offers a variety of services, including: meeting space for 2 to 50 people, offices for use by home based businesses, training rooms, and video conferencing. It is a hub for businesses of all sizes.
Goal - To provide solutions for business
The Chamber also launched Benefit Solutions, a full service for-profit employee benefit division. Businesses, ranging from sole proprietors to international corporations, can now receive customized assistance for all their employee benefit needs. Benefit Solutions offers execeptional solutions with a special emphasis on customer service.
Goal - To ensure that fees and time dedicated to the Chamber by our members is an investment - not a donation.
