Our Vision for Technology at ACMS

The vision of Ashe County Middle School is to provide a technology-rich environment through the use of equipment, instruction, and resources to enhance learning, productivity, and community involvement in a safe and efficient school environment.

Certain components of the IMPACT model will be included. Technology integration and collaboration in all curriculum areas will assist students with developing basic skills and development of critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Technology integration will be encouraged through increased mobility, wireless access, flexible library scheduling, and staff development.

Relationships will be established and maintained through electronic communications with parents and community. Safety equipment and personnel will be implemented and utilized to create a more secure environment for learning. In order for this vision to be successful, the school infrastructure will be improved by increasing bandwidth and upgrading the server.
