The Bakersfield 1st Church of the Nazarene (BFC) is a Christian church that has been in existence since 1905.

We are apart of the "Church of the Nazarene" denomination, which is a protestant and evangelical body of believers.

In our name, "the Nazarene" refers to Jesus Christ. Jesus' childhood was spent in the town of Nazareth, therefore making him a Nazarene.

We have a wide variety of ministries available on our campus including children ministries such as Caravans, a youth group for teens, a recovery service, women's ministries, men's ministries, "Prime Timers" for senior adults, missions, a Gleaner's food service for the elderly, and more.
