Barron Spotlighters is a non-profit community theater organization dedicated to providing quality live theater entertainment to Barron and neighboring communities. We are currently in our 33rd consecutive year of operation. Spotlighters performs four major productions each season, often two comedies/dramas and two musicals. Our stage is located in the Barron Area Community Center at 800 Memorial Drive, Barron, WI.
We strive to provide provocative, family-friendly entertainment, as well as various fun and educational experiences for members of the surrounding area. Every other year, Spotlighters produces a musical specifically geared toward students, offering school matinees which are priced reasonably for large-group school field trips. We also sponsor summer children's theater and other educational workshops and conferences. Scholarships are offered for high school seniors heading to universities or technical colleges, as well as students who wish to attend summer theater workshops for youth.
Spotlighters has an open-door policy which appeals to many different types of people with various interests in the theater arts. Those interested in performing, directing, set building, sound/lights, working backstage or providing audience assistance are all invited to join the fun. Open auditions are held for all shows and volunteers are needed and welcomed in all areas.
