About Us
We are very proud of our students, parents, staff, and our programs. We believe that quality education can be achieved through high expectations of student performance and behavior, strong family, school, and community partnerships, and a dedicated, enthusiastic staff committed to providing the best education possible for the students at Beasley Elementary.
Beasley Elementary School's proud history goes back to 1902, when it first opened its doors to eight students. The Parent-Teacher Organization at Beasley was first organized in 1918, and the school joined the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District in 1947. The current school building was opened in 1985 and is located in Beasley, Texas, a predominantly rural community. The city of Beasley is located in southeast Texas and has a population of approximately 600 residents.
Beasley provides an exceptional education to all students and has available a variety of instructional programs that have been carefully designed to meet the individual learner's needs. Beasley Elementary provides quality instruction in the basic skills, and, in addition, offers various enrichment programs such as gifted/talented, English as a second language, fine arts, P.E., computers, library media skills, and the Accelerated Reader program.
Beasley Elementary has been recognized for its outstanding programs and quality education. It has received awards and recognitions for many of our students and staff. In the spring of 1998 Beasley received the Texas Successful School Award from the Texas Education Agency for its accomplishments on the Texas Assessment of Academic Skills (TAAS) test. Beasley has also received a Recognized School rating from the state agency for its outstanding accomplishments on the TAAS test for the 1997-1998, 1999-2000, and 2000-2001 school year. We believe that the honors and recognition that Beasley Elementary has received is the result of wonderful students, supportive parents, and dedicated staff working together.
Beasley Elementary School---working together for individual excellence and positive self-esteem is our motto. We are indeed very proud of our school and community!
