Bender Tree is a choose and cut Christmas Tree farm. It is open seasonally to sell Christmas trees during the holidays or to sell ball and burlap trees in warmer weather. Bender Tree Farm was established in 1987 when the land was purchase from Tony and Joyce Arcaro.The vacant land had been separated from the original farm when it was purchased. Prior to being a tree farm, it was periodically used for horse shows. Neighbors recall attending horse shows at the farm during their childhood. The Arcaros crafted leather goods at the farm. A one room school house was once located on the farm just to the right of the existing entrance drive. The school house was taken down in 1936 and the lumber was used to build a home around the corner.

The first trees were planted in 1989. That was a dry summer and the trees did not survive. We replanted trees the next year with better success. The first trees were sold in 1997. The farm has grown slowly over the years. We offered about 6 acres of Christmas trees. Trees are located within 6oo feet of parking. Many of those are now mature and some of those fields are ready for cutting and replanting. While this has been a modest growth story, we have enjoyed many happy seasons with all of our customers. Most recently, we've offered wreaths and other Christmas greens grown at the farm as a way to make good use of the larger trees. Ball and burlap trees are periodically available for purchase during planting season. In 2014, seven acres were split from the farm to build a log home where we will stay while we continue to maintain and improve the farm. The remaining 54 acres are for future expansion and woodlands. In 2013, we began planting trees in the 27 acre field  behind the creek. We hope to continue growing and making improvements to the farm as spare time allows.
