1925:
The original fire house was founded in 1925 as a result of a fire that broke out in a store that Anthony Cipick was renting on South Park Road. Mrs. Nestor and her daughter were burnt to death. Then began a loose organization which was finally chartered in 1927 with roughly 18 members.
1938:
The Bethel Township Volunteer Firemen opened a campaign to obtain needed funds to carry on the protection they offer to the growing community. There were 3200 people in 800 homes covering a radius of 13 square miles.
1965:
There were about 17,000 people in 4000 homes covering a radius of 12 square miles. Calls were taken by police who were alerted by an alarm box in the police station. Officers sounded the siren and got the location from a central desk.
2006:
We are 76 members strong, maintain 3 Fire Stations, have 10 Fire Trucks and an excellent rescue "Go-Team"!
