History of Bethel Springs Elementary School:

When the new Bethel Springs School on Foulk Road opens for "Sneak-A-Peek" tonight and tomorrow, residents will be able to observe a piece of history.

Bethel residents and avid historians Mary and Reece Thomas and Fran and Rick Nicholson have donated seven bottles of various sizes that were recovered from the Bethel Spring Water Co., which was located on Foulk Road at Kirk.

The Thomas' are charter members of the Bethel Township Historical Society and the Bethel Preservation Society. The Nicholsons were also instrumental in the founding of the preservation society.

Bethel Springs Elementary School Principal Steven Piasecki said the bottles would be temporarily displayed in a case inside the main entrance. He said he hopes later to have the bottles on permanent display in the school library.
