I am a Certified Professional Midwife, licensed in the state of Virginia to serve women through pregnancy and childbirth as well as well-woman care and postpartum. My philosophy of birth is that women are made to have children. Our bodies are made fearfully & wonderfully... and if you are a low risk healthy woman, having a home birth is a great choice for your pregnancy care!

Oftentimes our culture paints a picture of birth as a broken system in our bodies, needing fixing. This is not true. Birth works best when left unhindered in the comfort of your own home. Your body is able to relax, and let go - and do the work that is called "labor".  I am there to guard your space and have a watchful eye and make sure that all is going well and you and baby remain safe.

My office is located in Strasburg, Virginia, next to my home. I serve women up and down Interstate 81 (north and south) and over to Front Royal, up to an hour distance from my home. Exceptions are made on occasion.
