Birdsong Community Farm
Members will receive a variety of our best produce in their boxes each week. Payment is due when you pick up your first box. We can work with you if you cannot pay in full at the beginning. Boxes are picked up at the farm or the farmers\' market. Flowers and eggs are also available to members.
Birdsong Community Farm is a small family farm located in north-central Alabama. We raise a variety of high quality produce as well as grass-based meats and animal products. We also sell handmade wooden toys, soaps, baked goods and other useful items. As committed followers of Jesus Christ, we do our best to be thoughtful and responsible stewards of the land and animals under our care.
We grow naturally, sustainably and locally. Call, email, or better yet, come visit if you want to find out more.
Our 100-acre family owned farm is very diverse in its landscape. We have hardwood and pine forests, pasture land, a designated wildlife area with active beaver pond, and vegetable fields. 2007 was our first season in full-time production with about 3/4 acre in vegetables and small fruits. We have since partnered with other sustainable growers in the area to offer pasture-raised poultry, beef and eggs. In 2010 we are planning to open a farm store where customers can come to purchase clean, local foods. You can also find us at the Cullman Farmers' Market during the summer.
At the heart of our farm is our faith in a Creator who is longing to heal the earth, us included.
