Bjornstad Cellars, home of small production, single vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot noir wines from appellations throughout Sonoma County.
For red wines, there is Hellenthal Vineyard Pinot noir from the West Sonoma Coast and the van der Kamp Vineyard Pinot noir and Pinot meunier from Sonoma Mountain.
For white wines there is Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley and Barbed Oak Vineyard Chardonnay from Bennett Valley and a Sonoma County Chardonnay, primarily from the Keefer Ranch in the Green Valley.
All of the grapes are farmed sustainably or biodynamically and carefully fermented in the Santa Rosa winery with traditional Burgundian techniques. My intention for these wines is that they represent the location or terroir, where they were raised.
The average production is a tiny 800 cases annually, making these wines extremely rare and hard to find and a tremendous value for the price. They are also well regarded by many reviewers in the press, enjoying high ratings.
