The Blue Hills Sportsmen's Club (formerly the Rice Lake Rod and Gun Club) was founded as a non-profit organization in 1956. The Club exists to promote ethical sportsmanship, family values, conservation of natural resources, safe handling of firearms and propagation of fish/wild life. The members promote the angling and shooting sports, and engage in educational/charitable activities within the local community. These events are published in the club’s bi-monthly Newsletter and Calendar of Events that are distributed to the active membership.
The Blue Hills Sportsman Club understands the importance of family and youth participation. We open our doors to members and the community for family-oriented events such as Trap Shooting, and Children's Fishing Derbies.
The club grounds (160 acres) is located approximately 9 miles south-east of Rice Lake (See Map Provided). Our paid members have limited access to the 160 acres of land owned by the Club. The 40 acres directly behind the rifle/pistol range is restricted for safety and liability reasons. The club house is equipped with indoor restrooms, hot food and snacks, beverages, television, socializing area and great view of the surrounding woods.
The Blue Hills Sportsman Club, also, provides hunting land to its members. BHSC owned property is managed to increase support for habitats of all kinds, game and non-game.
