The Boulder City Fine Arts Festival began in 1985 as the Clark County Artists' Show since there were few shows available for Clark County artists. Later the name was changed to the Clark County Art Show with eligibility open to all fine artists in Southern Nevada.
The new millennium brought yet another new name. The Boulder City Fine Arts Festival was christened in 2001 and was opened to fine artists in all media residing in the seven southwestern states served by the Colorado River: Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Idaho and Utah. Over the years, the show has grown, and by 1999, there were 58 exhibiting artists and 3,500 visitors. In 2011, there were 130+ artists with attendance at over 15,000.
The festival is the annual fundraiser for the Boulder city Art Guild, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. The Boulder City Fine Arts Festival continues to fund scholarships for high school seniors who will take art courses in college. Your support also provides funding for scholarships to the Boulder City Art Center for deserving youngsters and seniors.
